Title: Software Stack for Quantum Computing
Abstract: The software stack for a superconducting quantum computer includes several layers that work together to enable researchers to write and execute quantum programs on the computer. At the lowest level, there is a hardware layer that controls the physical qubits and their associated control electronics. This layer typically includes low-level software and firmware that provides the interface between the hardware and the higher-level software layers. Above the hardware layer, there is a middleware layer that provides higher-level functionality, such as qubit control, calibration, and error correction. At the highest level, there is a software layer that provides an interface for users to write and execute quantum programs. In my presentation, I will describe in more details these layers, tell you how far we have got implementing them and which sort of quantum programs are feasible to execute in the current NISQ era.
